before breakfast は 店舗デザインを軸に建築デザイン / ディレクション、家具やプロダクトのデザイン、インスタレーションに至るまでトータルなデザイン活動を展開しているインテリアデザイン事務所です。『木々はしっかりと地に根を張りながら、対照に枝先ではゆらゆらと葉を軽やかに揺らす』というフィロソフィーを掲げ、デザインを通じて地域に根ざした活動を行うとともに、都市や国にとらわれず枝葉を広げるように活動しています。

before breakfast is an interior design studio that centers its practice on retail and spatial design, engaging in a broad range of work from architectural design and direction to furniture, product design, and installations. Guided by the philosophy that “trees take firm root in the ground while their leaves sway lightly at the tips of their branches,” the studio grounds itself in the local community through design, while allowing its reach to extend freely beyond cities and national borders.

秦 秀彰　 

愛知県生まれ。
名古屋造形芸術短期大学卒業後、STUDIO GLITT、神谷デザイン事務所を経て2022年からbefore breakfastとして活動開始。伝統的なクラフトに敬意をもって現代的に再解釈し、土地や建物、クライアントが持つ空気や文脈に寄り添うデザインアプローチを意識して空間づくり・ものづくりに取り組んでいます。

Hideaki Hata　

Born in Aichi, Japan.
After graduating from Nagoya Zokei University Junior College of Art & Design, he worked at STUDIO GLITT and Kamiya Design Office before founding before breakfast in 2022. With a deep respect for traditional crafts, he reinterprets them through a contemporary lens, creating spaces and objects that respond to the atmosphere and context of the land, architecture, and clients.
